Enable the Provider Portal

You can enable to the Provider Portal for your provider to complete the Quotation or Workorder process all in Cimpl.

Group vs individual contacts

It is best practice to create both a Group contact and Individual contacts. By mapping the individuals to the group, any member of that group can see the request in Provider Portal but you can send requests to one group email.

  1. Go to Configuration > Administration> Providers.
  2. Open the provider details.
  3. Select Provider Portal enabled.
  4. If applicable, select Order Completion from Portal enabled.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Select the Contact tab.
  7. Create the Group Contact:
    1. Select the Group button.
    2. Enter a Group Name.
    3. Enter the Group Email - this is the generic or common mailbox.
    4. Enter Additional Emails.
    5. Enter a Description.
    6. Click Apply.

      Note: If the domain is not accepted, contact cimpl-support@uplandsoftware.com.

  8. Create the Individual Contact:

    1. Select Individual.

    2. Click + to select from contacts.

    3. If the contact you want is not listed, click The contact I want is not listed. A contact form opens.

    4. Enter Contact Name.

    5. Enter the Email.

    6. Enter Additional Emails.

    7. Enter a Description.

    8. Select a group from Participating in Group.

    9. Click Apply. The provider contacts can now log into Cimpl’s provider portal.
